1. INSTRODUCTION

TAKA HYDROCORE INDONESIA (THI) is an Indonesian company established in 2010 providing exploratory, geotechnical, hydrogeological, environmental and water well drilling work for mining companies, oil and gas companies, infrastructure contractors and consutant firms. THI is a registered company for mining exproration consultant and contractor (SIUPJP) from Indonesian Energgy and Mineral Resources Departement (ESDM) No. 521.K/30/DJB/2012 and a registered company for water drilling. We also a drill rig manufacturing company producing high quality top-drive and multi-purpose rigs.

2. DRILLING SERVICES

2.1. OFFSHORE GEOTECHNICAL DRILLLING

Taka hydrocore owns and operates geotechnical drilling rigs which complete with heave compensated system which can be set u onto vessels of opportunity anywhere. The drill rigs use standard 5.5" API drill pipe and have a capability to drill to 250m or other type of drill pipes.

Wireline tools are available for deployment inside the drill pipe to perform Cone Penetration Test (CPT) and to recover undisturbed samples. The drilling system also incorporates a coring facility enableing core recovery of soil and rock. The wireline system can also be used to raise and lower downhole geophysical logging tools.

2.2. NEARSHORE GEOTECHNICAL DRILLING

To Bring and extend our capability to condut exploratory and geotechnical drilling survey over the water we build wooden staging or wooden platform for shallow deep water down to maximum 3-4 m water depth. We olso developed Modular Pontoon system to allow drilling and getechnical survey to be conducted deeper down to maximum 25 m. CPT/U on the pontoon conducted using downhole CPT system.

We are developing the possibility to use jack up rig to allow drilling and geotechnical survey to be conducted deeper and also getting more reliable result.

2.3. EXPRORATORY DRILLING

Our services in mining exproratory drilling are to provide a high quality coring using suitable equipments and supported by qualified field geologist or supervisors. The drilling can be performed in conventional or wireline method in NQ, HQ or PQ size with depth varies from 20 m to 700 m depending on client requirements. Sampling for exploratory drilling purposed at mining company usually using the standard as requested by the client such as JORC standard.

We have developed some drilling rigs based on how they are mobilized:

  • Skid drilling rig having various drilling capacity from shallow to deep (down to 1000 m).
  • Mobile drilling rig: wheel drilling rig, tractor  mounted drilling rig, crawler mounted drilling rig.

2.4. ONSHORE GEOTECHNICAL DRILLING

Standars Geotechnical drilling usually involved some insitu tests while drilling such as Standard Penetration Test, Pressure Meter Test and Field Vane Shear Test. Some disturbed and undisturbed sample are also taken for laboratory analysis. To assure that undisturbed sample can be retrieved in high quality, we are utilizing the proper tools for the specific soil behavior based on their consistency:

  • Osterberg (GUS) fixed piston sampler for undisturbed sampling in very soft-soft of sandy soil to obtain Class 1 quality sample referring to BS-5930 and EN ISO 22375-1 Part 6 2009 Standard. This hydraulic fixed piston type sampler can be done using a single rod resulting fast and reliable sample.
  • Mazier core barrel system for undisturbed sampling in soft-hard soils. Especially when alternating consistency of layers are encountered
  • Triple core barrel system for rock formations.

We are also able and having intensive experiences to conduct Cone Penetration Test with/without Pore Pressure measuerment. We have developed some CPT Rigs having various driving capacity of 2.5 - 20 tons. There are 3 type of CPT rigs developed:

  • Light weight (wheel) CPT rig.
  • Skid mounted CPT rig that also have capability to drill.
  • Crawler mounted CPT rig that also have capability to drill.
  • Truck mounted CPT rig.

2.5. SEABED GEOTECHNICAL

We are also providing Seabed Geotechnical survey by developing Seabed CPT and Vibrocore system.

2.6. HYDROGEOLOGY DRILLING

Hydrogeology drilling are intended to study groundwater behavior for environmental purposes such as landfill monitoring program or groundwater supply. We have experience to drill and installation of groundwater monitoring for hydrogeology study of for landfil monitoring programs (pollution detection). We also have experienced to drill and install the wells for water supply. The diameter varies from 4" - 8" pipe installation using the PVC or highy stainless material. The depth also varies from 20 m - 350 m with the flow up to > 55 m3/hour.

We have experiences also to conduct hydrogeology drilling for mining drainage purposes. In this case inclined drillling were applied so that the drilled hole was perpendicular to the water bearing layer.

2.7. OTHER SERVICES

Completing the exploratory, geotechnical and hydrogeological drilling work we also provide the supporting services to those work such as:

  • Positioning and Topographic Survey.
  • Geophysical Logging.
  • Pumping Test and Slud Test.
  • Basic geotechnical Engineering.
  • Soil Laboratory Test (sister company PT. Hydrocore).

3. EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES

  Right now we are operating:

  • 10 skid drilling rigs having drilling capacity between 25 m - 1000 m depth.
  • 4 mobile drillling rig (wheel, tractor, crawler) having drilling capacity between 25 m - 500m depth.
  • 3 light weight CPT rig.
  • 6 skid CPT rig.
  • 1 crawler CPT and 2 CPT Truck.

To support the operational of those rigs we use an international standard tools, such as:

  • Sampler : SPT sampler, Single Core Barrel, Triple Core Barrel, Fixed Piston, Mazier, Thin walled Shelby Tube
  • CPT/U System : mechanical fiction jacket come and electrical piezocone system from reputable geitechnical tools manufacture company such as: Geomil or Apvandeberg.
  • Pumping Test : Submersible pumps from 1 - 7 m3/hr, Sound Water Level Meter, Automatic Water Level Meter, Flow Meter (manual adn magnetic/automatic), Packer etc.
  • Geophysical Logging : Standard Electrical Logging for Groundwater and Gamma Density - Calliper for Coal Exploration.

4. MANPOWER

THI employs highly experienced geotechnical, hydrogeological and geophysical personel who have had onshore, nearshore and offshore experiences. the employs will be formed to meet effective and high quality field work and reporting work. Presently, the manpower resources consist of:

5. HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

HSE is our prime priority, thus we applied and committed in high HSE standard. The equipment is maintained properly and periodically, and load tested prior to mobilization. Site personel have experience in HSE system of Oil company (BP, Total Indonesia, CNOOC, Kodeco, Santos etc) and Mining Contactors and continuous for CSMS, STOP card AK3 Migas, Sea survival etc.
